FOUR Hokowhitu School pupils are famous after winning a Fair Go Junior School Ad Award, but they have learnt it takes a lot of hard work to become stars.
The pupils won the primary- school category, beating about 200 entries nationwide.
Their ad screened on Wednesday night's awards show, to an audience of 745,000 people, TVNZ said.

The entries had to be based on time travel, so they chose a trip to visit renowned artist Vincent van Gogh. Their time machine was a TARDIS replica (inspired by the television programme Dr Who), which they made out of an old fridge box. Using a computer, the pupils transported themselves to 1880s Paris using green screening - a special effect that let them place the Eiffel tower in the background.
Recording was the biggest Sexy Lingerie challenge. Pupil Madison Cameron said her six-word scene had to be filmed 20 times to get right. But the project was worth it. "It's kind of embarrassing, kind of cool."
Pupil Brooklyn Aitken received 10 calls and 20 texts from family and friends to congratulate her. Year 4 and 5 teacher Stephen Baker said he was happy. "I've been trying to win (it) for three years."
The group won $2000 and a high definition video camera.
